First National Bank hires regional president

Greg Dixson has joined First National Bank of the Rockies as regional president of its offices in Steamboat Springs, Craig, Meeker, Hayden and Oak Creek. Dixson will work with current regional president Bill Leeson until the end of 2005, when Leeson plans to semi-retire by working part time on special bank projects and business development efforts for FNBR.

Leeson was instrumental in FNBR's rapid growth in northwestern Colorado during the past six years, first as manager of the Hayden office and then as regional president. He says he's enjoyed his work tremendously, but after 43 years in banking, he's ready to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

"My wife retired two years ago from teaching, and we look forward to traveling more and relaxing together," Leeson said.

Dixson has worked in banking and commercial lending for 18 years, the past seven years in Steamboat Springs. He said what attracted him to First National Bank of the Rockies was its empowerment of staff, significant investment in usable technology, and long and successful history on the West Slope of Colorado."First National Bank of the Rockies has a customer-centered philosophy, a great menu of products and services, and the technology to assist us in taking care of our customers."

Dixson and his wife, Ann, have four children.
