Police locate robbery suspect

Craig Police arrested a Craig man Monday afternoon whom they suspect robbed Smoker Friendly on Friday. The suspect is the same man who was arrested in April for robbing Craig's west end Kum & Go.

Talmage Earl Willis, 23, faces charges of aggravated robbery, menacing, theft and a violation of bond conditions in connection to Friday's incident. Police said they located the suspect outside of a Craig apartment complex.

Smoker Friendly Manager JoDeena Bullock said that a man entered the store early Friday morning and pointed what appeared to be a gun at her through his sweatshirt while demanding all the money in the store. The suspect, who didn't cover his face, left with about $70, Bullock said.

The suspect was out of jail on bond Friday during the time of the alleged incident. He had been charged with robbery, theft and third-degree assault in an April case.

On the night of April 11, police received a report about a man taking money from a convenience store after grabbing the cashier's wrists. Store officials said they were missing $140, and police said they found $75 on the man. He was arrested hours after the incident when he matched the description of the suspect provided by the cashier, police said.

Lt. John Forgay of the Craig Police Department said he hoped a high bond would be placed on the suspect.

"I think the judge will take that into consideration," Forgay said.
