Chris Compton, Tucker Trujillo (11 to 12), and Sassy Murray (9 to 10) each earned high points for scoring the most points in their respective age groups. Other top finishers were: Katie Gainor and Ashleigh McDonald, first and second in the 50 yard breaststroke; Matt Hulstine, fourth in the 50 backstroke; Mitch Romney, third in the 50 butterfly.

On Friday, May 6, I was driving my Honda Gold Wing from Craig to Steamboat on my way to work when I was torpedoed by a doe just west of Milner. My right calf was shattered, but I managed to get the bike off the road and stopped before the bike leaned to the right and I couldn’t hold it. I was talking to my best friend, Grace Lux, on a cell phone at the time. She called 911, and the ambulance crew was en-route before the bike was off the road.
