The Western Area Winter Games for Special Olympics will be in Glenwood Springs today and Saturday. The Olympians will be competing in alpine skiing and snowboarding and attend a victory dinner/dance at Glenwood Middle School on Friday. plan pulpit exchange
There will be a pulpit exchange Sunday between The First Congregational Church and St. Mark's Episcopal/Lutheran Church of Grace. Pastor Dave Barnes and the Rev. Melinda Bobo will preach to each other's congregation. Barnes sermon is titled "Celebrating Love." Bobo's sermon is titled "God's Foolishness." St. Mark's service begins at 9 a.m. First Congregational begins at 10 a.m.
4-H fishing club
to meet at BGCC
If you are between 8 and 18 and like to fish, you can join the 4-H sport fishing club. The Boys and Girls Club of Craig will host the 4-H sport fishing program.
The fishing club will meet at the Boys and Girls Club from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Feb. 8.
All participants must sign up for 4-H at the CSU Extension building. Participants do not have to be members of the Boys and Girls Club. However, members of the club will be provided transportation from school to the club. Call Robert Winn at 826-0411 or at 824-1187
Volunteer orientation scheduled at BGCC
There will be a volunteer orientation for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer with Boys and Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40, from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 10.
Volunteers at the club must complete the required orientation.
