Lillian R. Boggs died Jan. 10, 2005, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig after a short illness. She was 87.

Lillian R. Scott was born April 12, 1917, in Sandoval, Ill.

Boggs was raised and attended school in Illinois, later moving to Los Angeles with her family. She married Emmett Wilkinson in 1938 and to this union their two children, Ed and Patricia, were born. They were divorced in 1949. In the early 1950s, Lillian married Lyle Boggs in Burbank, and to this union, their son, Dale, was born. Boggs lived in Burbank until 1988, when she moved to Craig, where she has resided since. She was a homemaker and in earlier years worked as a nurse's aid. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Craig. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and was especially fond of her cats.

Boggs is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Wade) Hansen of Oceanside; sons Ed (Colleen) Wilkinson of Craig, and Dale (Melissa) Boggs of Craig; grandchildren Marcia Clark, Kristen Bishop, Chad Wilkinson, Rinelleke Wilkinson, Wade Hansen III, Danielle Woodhull, Jessica Miller, Michael Boggs, Miranda Boggs, Mariah Boggs, and Scott Curtin; and great-grandchildren Jeffrey Bishop, Sean Clark, Kristen Lombard, Austin Clark, Kera Wilkinson, Devon Hansen, Katelyn Wilkinson, Meghan Hansen, Madison Hansen and Madison Tomlinson.

Boggs was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Blanche, Lula Belle, and Helen; brothers Carl, John and Ed and three other siblings who died many years ago; her husband, Lyle Boggs; and a grandson, Jeffrey Wilkinson.

Services were held Jan. 14, 2005, at Grant Mortuary Chapel, with David Carrick officiating. The organist was Anne Carr, and the soloist was Wanda Brown.

Selections were, "The Dance," "The Rose," and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Honorary pallbearers were Marcia Clark, Rinelleke Wilkinson, Scott Curtin, Chad Wilkinson, Wade Hansen III, Kristen Bishop, Miranda Boggs, and Jessica Miller.

Services concluded at the mortuary.
