The Craig Concert Association invites all musicians, singers and dancers to audition Jan. 29 for The Local Talent Concert, which will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Moffat County High School auditorium.
Tryouts are on a first- come, first-served basis and should be between three and six minutes. Submit a tape or CD of your audition before the date if you are unable to attend. The Local Talent Concert will be at 2 p.m. March 6 at the Moffat County High School Auditorium. Call Jim Simpson at 824-4138.

Business Association's Art Walk is Feb. 12
The Downtown Business Association is planning the 10th annual Art Walk from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 12. and is looking for participants. The Art Walk has become a tradition for artists and businesses to draw attention to themselves and provide the public with a wintertime diversion. Registration is $25 and must be received by Feb. 5. Children and their dogs wanted for 4-H dog club
Wanted: any and all children with a dog to join a new 4-H dog club. Training sessions begin Feb. 17 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds.

Mardi Gras celebration Feb. 4 at St. Michael's
The Knights of Columbus of St. Michael will host a Mardi Gras festival Feb.4 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 678 School St. Cocktails start at 7:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 8 p.m., and dancing is from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets can be purchased from club members or at the church. Call 824-5330.

County tourism group has ad funds available
The Moffat County Tourism Association has funds available to help organizations defray the costs of advertising events within the county. For more information about qualifying for these funds, call Steve Miller at 824-2335. The deadline is Feb. 1. Recipients will be notified by Feb. 25.

Sweet Adelines show scheduled for Feb. 5
The Annual Sweet Adelines Show begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Moffat County High School Auditorium Teens will be vying for the Teen Idol title. The audience will choose the winner. Tickets will be available in advance or at the door.
There also will be a large silent auction beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the high school lobby. For more information, call Ivy Davis at 824-5746.

Diamonds & Spurs
fund-raiser is Jan. 29
The Craig Rotary Club will host the fourth annual Diamonds & Spurs fund-raising dinner dance. The event is at 6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion.
Dinner will be catered by Halandras Catering, and the menu will include a variety of options.
Local disc jockey Tracy Lawton will play classic rock, oldies and country tunes until midnight.
Tickets are $60 a person, and corporate tables are available to accommodate between eight and 10 people. Ticket holders must be at least 21 to attend, and this will be a nonsmoking event.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Moffat County High School Scholarship Fund and other local Rotary charities. Call Marilyn Bouldin at 824-1119 or Sam Johnston at 824-7031.

Hayden church hosts soup supper Saturday
Hayden Congregational Church will host a soup supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday to benefit Love INC, an organization sponsored by local churches to help those in need in our communities.
The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
There also will be a drawing for an American flag wall quilt. Tickets for the drawing also are available for $1 each or six for $5. Ticket holders need not be present to win. Call the church at 276-3510.
