My family and I would like to sincerely thank all of the unbelievable people of Moffat County who supported us in the battle to defend our son, Austin, after he was excessively charged for a playground scuffle last year.

We could not have imagined the love and generosity that was cast upon us during such a crazy time. We are glad that after seven months and many dollars, charges were dropped. This was in part because of the special prosecutor who was from outside our district.

We have all done enough to let our district attorney know how we felt about the hideous way the case was handled. Now I ask Ms. Roesink to shed some light on her side of the story.

She has consistently dodged questions about her actions and stated that it was inappropriate to discuss it because Austin was a minor.

Well the case is over, and I think the taxpayers have a right to know just what you were thinking, Ms. Roesink. During the course of this legal battle, we appeared in court seven times; it took just one phone conference for the Glenwood D.A.'s office to find that this case should and would be dropped. I challenge you to please open up and explain yourself, in reference to my son. You are an elected official, and I think we have a right to know what is going through your mind when you opt to string out a case such as ours and waste the tax dollars the way you did.

Sincerely,

Nancy Sadvar
