Loretta May Rowton died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at her home. She was 66.
Loretta May Collins was born June 1, 1938, in Homeland, Calif., to Everett and Lady May (Fraze) Collins.
She was raised and attended school in California.
Loretta May married Carl D. Rowton on Sept. 16, 1953, in Riverside, Calif. They lived in California, where they raised their four daughters.
Loretta moved to Craig in 1996 and resided there until her death. She enjoyed reading books, especially the Bible, and playing Yahtzee with her daughter. She attended First Christian Church in Craig.
She is survived by her daughters Rosa (Ron) Logan, of Craig, Joyce (Henry) Vallejo, of Moreno Valley, Calif., Jeannie Rowton of Craig, and Carla Pinkerton of Mountain Home, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Beverly Harris of Las Vegas, Barbara Pauley of Craig and Bell Saenz of California; stepfather, Frank Wallace, of Craig; and several nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Rowton; son Carl D. Rowton, Jr.; and brother Floyd Collins.
Memorial services were held Thursday, Dec. 30, at the First Christian Church with Pastor David Carrick officiating.
