The flu vaccine shortage is easing allowing healthy adults age 50 years and older to receive flu shots. The Visiting Nurse Association, 745 Russell St., in Craig will hold a drop-in flu clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. At-risk groups will be targeted: Adults ages 50 and older, infants ages 6 to 23 months, household members of infants younger than 6 months, pregnant women and people between the ages of 2 and 49 with chronic medical conditions. Adult shots are $18, children’s shots range between free and $15. Medicare/Medicaid participants should bring their cards. Call the VNA at 824-8233 with any questions.

Roy F. Harris Sr. of Craig died Saturday in Meeker. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grant Mortuary. Interment will be afterward in the Craig Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Walbridge wing of Pioneers Hospital in care of Grant Mortuary.

Oak Creek hangs two losses on Cougar midgets

The Craig Cougar midgets hadn’t seen a lot of each other the last couple of weeks, and it showed Sunday morning. In the first game since Christmas break, the Oak Creek Kodiaks put it to the Cougars, 6-1.
