Chuck Carpenter of Craig, died Feb. 9, 2005, at St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital in Denver of lung disease. He was 63.
Carpenter was born June 3, 1941, in Colby, Kan., one of eight children, to Claude and Lorraine Carpenter.
Carpenter's work as a brick and block mason allowed him to have many friendships throughout the country, especially in Craig, where he has lived for the past 10 years with his wife, Mary, of 18 years.
Carpenter is survived by his wife, Mary; sisters Bonnie, Etta, Jeanette and Sandy; and brothers, Jim and Kenny Carpenter.
Carpenter was preceded in death by his older sister, Claudine, who also lost her fight with lung disease in 2002, and his mother and father.
A private celebration of his life was held in his honor Feb. 10, 2005, at the home of his sister, Jeanette, of Loveland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 617 East Victory Way No. 3, Craig, CO 81625, in care of the family.
Chuck will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
