Cecilia Bergmann

Age: 83

Occupation: I'm retired. I used to be an advertising manager for Montgomery Ward's.

Place of birth: Aguas Calientes, Mexico. I grew up in Chicago.

When did you move to Moffat County, and what brought you here? Our son Peter was here, and we would come to visit him and thought Craig was a nice place to retire.

Describe your morning routine: I don't set an alarm unless I have some place to be. Whenever I wake up is OK. Usually I have things to do and places to go. I like to keep busy.

How would your friends describe you? As a people person, and once I've met somebody, they're a friend.

Have you ever had a book change your life? What was it and why? I was an English major and still read a lot. I don't think there's just one.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a teacher, and I never was a teacher. Now I volunteer at the schools. When I got to college, I thought I wanted to be an actor or a director. Of course, I never did that, either.

If you could invite any four people over for dinner, who would they be and what would you serve? Abraham Lincoln, my husband, Bud, and a couple of teachers I've had. My husband's favorite meal (and it's mine now, too), sauerkraut and dumplings and roast pork.

If you had to give up one of your five senses, which would it be? I think it'd be speech because I could always write. I'd want to still be able to hear.

What style of music do you like? I really prefer classical music.

What would you do if you won $10 million? I would probably give 95 percent of it away to people or groups or organizations that could use it more than I can.
