Warrine Solace (1922-2005)

Warrine Solace died Dec. 1, 2005, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig.

She was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Davis, Okla., to Carl and Birdie (Bean) Rowe.

Solace was raised and attended school in Oklahoma. During World War II, she worked as a solderer at a plant in California. She later moved to Northwest Colorado near Browns Park. She married Cheston L. Solace and to this union, two children were born. She lived on the family ranch near Browns Park and was a mother and ranchwife. Cheston died in April of 2001.

Warrine Solace was a member of the Browns Park Homemakers Club and in later years always attended the senior citizen dinners in Maybell and very much enjoyed that.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Steve) Adams of Baggs, Wyo.; son, Larry Solace of Maybell; grandchildren Chanele, Nicholas, Nathan and Warren; and sister, Wanda Stoll of Tulsa, Okla.

Solace was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Laverne; brothers Carl and Eb; and her husband, Cheston.

Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.

Memorial donations may be made to the Maybell Ambulance in care of Grant Mortuary.
