News briefs for April 29
The Boys & Girls Club of Craig will host a free party from 5 to 9 p.m. today for members who are Sunset Elementary School students. The party is a reward for the students who won a penny war. The penny war was an event to raise money for the tsunami relief effort.
The party includes dinner, a movie and activities.
Come only if you are a member of the club and attend Sunset Elementary School.
The club will close at 9 sharp, so parents should arrange for rides before that. Call Robert Winn for more information at 826-0411.
Prayer Day observance is Thursday at noon
In observance of the 54th annual National Prayer Day, there will be a prayer gathering at noon Thursday around the flagpole at the Moffat County Courthouse.
