News briefs for April 28


The Knights of Columbus is hosting and serving a Mother's Day breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee after the 9 a.m. Mass on May 8 at St Michael's Catholic Church, 678 School St.
The cost is $3 for everyone except mothers and children younger than 12.

Mother's Day/May Day fashion show Sunday
There will be Mother's Day/May Day fashion show hosted by Under the Aspen Tree at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Beef & Peppers banquet room at the Centennial Mall in Craig. Admission is canned goods, which will be donated to the Interfaith Food Bank.

C.O.M.A. committee meets Wednesday
Communities Overcoming Methamphetamine Abuse fund-raising committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the school administration building.
The public is invited to attend and participate.

Library group hosts book sale this weekend
Friends of the Library will hold a second book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Centennial Mall (in the old Payless Shoesource store).
Used books will sell for 50 cents a pound. There is a huge selection of adult and children's books, and cookbooks to choose from.
Friends are now accepting donations of books at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries.
