8:30 a.m. Mothers of Preschoolers meets at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave., until 11 a.m. The cost is $6, which includes breakfast, crafts and speakers. Children are welcome. Call 824-0101.

11 p.m. The Women's Fellowship of Hayden Congregational United Church of Christ, 202 E. Jefferson Ave., is hosting a Spring Salad Luncheon. Adults are $6, and children $3. Call Mary Williams at 276-3537.

3 p.m. Quest Bible-based activities for children in grades kindergarten through fourth meets until 4:45 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St., through April 30. Stories, activities and snacks will be provided. Call 824-3039.

6 p.m. Communities Overcoming Methamphetamine Abuse will have a fund-raising committee meeting at the Moffat County School Administration Building in the boardroom. Community members who are interested in becoming a member of the group should attend. The public is welcome.

6:30 p.m. The Yampa Valley Antique Power Club meets the third Wednesday of each month. Anyone interested in antique tractors is welcome. Call Dean at 824-3588 for location.

10 a.m. Children's story-hour is until 11 a.m. at the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Call 824-5116.

6:30 p.m. Moffat County Child Care Providers Association (a nonprofit association) meets at 6:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 960 W. Victory Way. Call Paula Reed, president, at 824-6756.

7 p.m. The Cancer Support Group meets until 8 p.m. in the Visiting Nurse Association conference room, 745 Russell St. Call 824-7641.

Friday, April 22
9:30 a.m. The community playgroup for children 5 and younger and their parents meets every Friday until 10:30 a.m. at the Early Education Center in the Moffat County School Administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave.

10 a.m. The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering immunizations every Monday and Friday. New clients should bring in their records 24 to 48 hours before their appointments. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by their parents or present a signed permission slip from a parent. Call VNA at 824-8233.

11:30 a.m. Northwest Colorado Cares, a group opposed to the proposed nuclear-waste disposal site, will meet at the Golden Cavvy. Saturday, April 23
9 a.m. Sign-up begins for a cowboy action shooting match at the Bears Ears Shooting Range on Moffat County Road 7A. The match is hosted by the Northwest Colorado Rangers. A Rangers meeting is at 9:30 a.m., and the match will be afterward. This event requires appropriate dress.

10 a.m. Celebrate Car Care Awareness Month with Precision Auto Service until 3 p.m. Saturday. Certified ASE master technicians will be available to inspect your car for $20. Proceeds will benefit the Craig Intermediate School color printer fund. Call Precision Auto Service at 824-8566.

10 a.m. The 2005 Children's Festival will be until 1 p.m. at the Centennial Mall. Booths will be set up with activities for children ages 2 to 8, and everything is free. Children earn punches for door prizes and drawings. The Moffat County Sheriff's Office will offer child I.D. kits. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
