6:30 p.m. The Moffat County Child Care Providers Association will hold a business meeting with an educational program following at the Boys and Girls Club building, 1240 E. Wednesday, Sept. 22
The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St., will be closed for staff training.
11:45 a.m. Moffat County on the Move meets at the Cooperative Extension Office, 539 Barclay St., until 1 p.m. Call 824-9108.
1 p.m. A presentation on the voting rights of people with disabilities will be given by Faith Gross of the Legal Center for People with Disabilities in the Independent Life Center, 483 Yampa Ave. If you need to schedule van transportation or would like more information, call 826-0833.
6 p.m. HEARTBEAT, a support group for those who have lost loved ones to suicide, meets at Serendipity, 576 Yampa Ave., in Craig. Call Barb Seed or Tracey Lathrop at 824-6541.
6:30 p.m. Yampa Valley Chapter of the Friends of NRA is having a committee meeting at Rummel Chiropractic, 333 E. Victory Way (the building just west of the Marcia train car). This meeting is about our annual fund-raising banquet/auction. Anyone interested in helping or becoming involved in the committee can attend. Call 824-7538.

10 a.m. Children's story hour will be held at the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Another story hour will be held at 11 a.m. Activity will be Pom Pom worms. Call 824-5116.
4:30 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management, Northwest Colorado Stewardship and any interested public will meet with the Resource Management Plan contractor Booz Allen Hamilton in a collaboration kickoff meeting. Different parties will discuss their roles in the BLM RMP revision. Community members are welcome to attend and share their ideas. The meeting is scheduled to end at 8:30 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 24
5 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Business hosts an after-hours mixer at Two Shoes Horse Ranch located north of Craig. This is a members-only event. If you would like to become a member, call Patti at 824-5689.
6:30 p.m. "Celebrate the Autumnal Equinox and the Goddess Within," at Steamboat Pines in Steamboat Springs is hosted by Windhorse of the Rockies. The cost is $25 for Friday, $40 for Saturday or $60 for both (includes overnight accommodations, breakfast and lunch). Call 846-9780.

Free day at the Museum of Northwest Colorado. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 824-6360.
9 a.m. The High School Rodeo will be at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig until 2:30 p.m. This is the last event of the 2004 season and is free to spectators. Concessions will be available. Call 824-3329.
10 a.m. The fourth annual Golden Leaf Festival will be in historic downtown Craig until 4 p.m. Family-oriented activities, crafts, local vendors, and music performers celebrate the arrival of fall in the Yampa Valley. Call 824-4580.
10 a.m. Hands-on Quilters will meet at the Craig Fire Station. The demonstration will be curved piecing made easier. Call 824-2567.
