Today

9 a.m. The sixth annual Sheep Wagon Days will feature a "Moffat County on the Move" walk at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, a sheep wagons display at the Alice Pleasant Memorial park, plus pioneer crafts and farm animals. Call 824-6360.

9 a.m. Shotgun start for the Knez Yahoo Golf Tournament at the Yampa Valley Golf Course in Craig. Proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Craig. A steak dinner for players and guests will be at the Shadow Mountain clubhouse after the tournament. Call 824-3673.

10 a.m. The High Plains Mustang Club is sponsoring a horse-handling clinic until noon at 696 County Road 22. All horse owners (mustang or not) and those interested in owning a horse are welcome. Call Dona at 824-0105 or 824-9406.

12:30 p.m. A potluck picnic for all friends and families of Hospice and the Grief Education classes will be at Breeze Street Park. Bring a covered dish to share. Friends, family members and children are welcome. We'll supply table service, plates and drinks. Call Sandy at 824-8233, ext. 249.

5 p.m. An open house event will be at Gym Star Gymnastics, 400 Mack Lane, in Craig for children ages 3 and older until 6 p.m. The cost is $5 a person. This is an opportunity to try gymnastics and get acquainted with the gym and staff. Call 824-2282.

5 p.m. A live music dance is at Lodore Hall, Browns Park. This free event is hosted by the Brown's Hole Homemaker's Club. Blue Mountain Bluegrass Band will entertain. The doors open at 5 p.m., and the dance will be at 6 p.m. Hot dogs, chips, soda and dessert available for $4. To get there, take Highway 40 West, turn onto Colorado Highway 318 to Browns Park, 50 miles west to Lodore Hall. Call 269-3000.

5:30 p.m. The second annual Nursing Fundraiser Dinner barbecue will be at Alice Pleasant Memorial downtown park to benefit nursing scholarships at Colorado Northwestern Community College. Tickets are $10. Call 824-1119.

8 p.m. The Craig Elks Club is hosting a "Back to the Future" dance for students ages 12 to 18 at the Craig Elks Lodge upstairs, 43 W. Victory Way, to 11 p.m. The cost will be $3 for two people or $2 aperson. Call 824-0323.

Sunday, Sept. 19

1:30 p.m. Bingo will be held at the VFW, 419 E. Victory Way. There will be a progressive jackpot. Packets begin at $15. Call 824-7145.

3 p.m. Habitat for Humanity will meet at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St., in Craig. The organizational committee will show a video about the program. Call 824-6836.

5:30 p.m. TGIF Couples Bronco Bash event will be at the Yampa Valley Golf Course in Craig. The cost is $36. This is the last event of the season. Call 824-3673.

Monday, Sept. 20

RSVP is due for the Yampa River Basin Partnership Annual Meeting and barbecue to be held at the Yampa River State Park Headquarter in Hayden. The cost will be $10 a person. Call 824-8233.

10 a.m. First Congregational Church, 630 Green St., will host a women's video series, "Prayer of Jabez." Call 824-6836.

5:30 p.m. LIFE, a weight-loss group, meets at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford, in Craig. Weigh-in begins at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6 p.m. Call Joan at 824-6611 or Ken Fleming at 824-6806.

5:30 p.m. Library Board will meet at the Craig Branch, 570 Green St., of the Moffat County Libraries. Call 824-5116.

Tuesday, Sept. 21

6:30 p.m. The Moffat County Child Care Providers Association will hold a business meeting with an educational program afterward at the Boys and Girls Club building, 1240 E. Victory Way (U.S. Highway 40). At 7 p.m., Amy Knights, a registered nurse, will talk about precautions for the cold and virus season. Call Paula Reed, president, at 824-6756.

Wednesday, Sept. 22

The Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St., will be closed for staff training.

11:45 a.m. Moffat County on the Move meets at the Cooperative Extension Office, 539 Barclay St., until 1 p.m. Call 824-9108.

6 p.m. HEARTBEAT, a support group for those who have lost loved ones to suicide, meets at Serendipity, 576 Yampa Ave., in Craig. Call Barb Seed or Tracey Lathrop at 824-6541.

6:30 p.m. The Yampa Valley chapter of the Friends of NRA is having a committee meeting at Rummel Chiropractic, 333 E. Victory Way, (the building just west of the Marcia train car). This meeting is about our annual fund-raising banquet/auction. Anyone interested in helping or becoming involved in the committee is invited to attend. Call 824-7538.

7 p.m. Moffat County Youth Wrestling will hold its annual membership meeting at Craig Intermediate School, 201 E. Ninth St., in the cafeteria. Anyone interest in participating or coaching should attend. Call Debbie 824-2550 or Jill 826-0239.

7 p.m. VFW Ladies Night Bingo will be at the VFW Fellowship Hall (upstairs). Men and women are welcome. Call 824-2923.

Thursday, Sept. 23

10 a.m. Children's story hour will be at the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Another story hour will be at 11 a.m. The activity will be pom pom worms. Call 824-5116.

4:30 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management, Northwest Colorado Stewardship and any interested public will meet with the Resource Management Plan contractor Booz Allen Hamilton in a collaboration kickoff meeting. Parties will discuss their roles in the BLM RMP revision. The meeting is set to end at 8:30 p.m.

5 p.m. The Chamber of Commerce Business after-hours mixer is at Two Shoes Horse Ranch, which is north of Craig. This is a members-only event. If you would like to attend or become a member, call Patti at 824-5689.
