- The Serenity Prayer will be investigated during a sermon series by Pastor Dave Barnes at 10 a.m. Sunday at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. This Sunday’s sermon will be “The courage to change things.” After that are “The wisdom to distinguish” and “Living one day at a time.” The Serenity Prayer, written in 1943 but never copyrighted, has been used by several organizations. However, usually only one-third of the prayer is used. Call 824-6836.
