The Moffat County Ice Arena is open for the 2004 skating season. Session times vary according to the daily schedule of hockey practice and figure skating practice. Open skating sessions are 1 1/2 hours and are available every day. Each session costs $2.50 and skate rental is available for $3 a day. Take-home schedules for October are available at the Ice Arena at Loudy-Simpson Park. Call 824-3011.

The Craig Intermediate School Science Department is having an Earth Treasure Fair today and Friday during school hours, 201 E. Ninth St. Jewelry, key chains, desk sets and other items made from rocks, minerals and fossils will be available for purchase. The money raised will pay for a science presentation for all of the students. Call 824-3287.

11:30 a.m. Club 20 is holding a Moffat County Caucus meeting at Beef and Peppers Restaurant, 1111 Victory Way, until 1 p.m. Moffat County Representatives on the Club 20 Board will be elected and there will be general discussion of issues of interest.

6 p.m. The Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center is having its 12th annual chili supper and silent auction fund-raiser at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The Center is seeking donations to auction such as books, craft items, services and meals. Tickets will be available at the door for the following prices: $5 a person, $8 a couple, $16 for a family of four and $1 for each extra child.
