Name: Tony DeRose
Occupation: Owner/operator, Identity Graphics LLC
When and why did you move to Craig? I moved here in December 2003 to start Identity Graphics and volunteer with Moffat County Young Life.
Who is your favorite political figure? My father -- I deeply respect his call to grass-roots politics and constant desire to do what is right despite whether it is popular or not.
Who is your hero and why? I can't pin the title "hero" to any one person. There are so many amazing people that have blessed my life in so many ways. I think they all are heroes.
What is the most rewarding part of living in Moffat County? I enjoy the relaxed attitude of the majority of Moffat County residents.
What is the one thing you would change about your life if you could? I think I would try to look at things more optimistically. I tend to dwell on the negative more than I would like to.
What would you change about Moffat County if you could? I would require hunters to remove their orange when they come into town.
What's the one thing about Moffat County that you hope never changes? The small town atmosphere. I enjoy how people are aware of what is going on in other people's lives. I think it allows more people to be available and supportive to their neighbors than you find in a more urban area.
Favorite food? White Star, a sushi dish at Suehiro's in Grand Junction. I think I like it because it's very rare that I get to eat it.
Favorite band/singer? At this point in my life, I would say either Death Cab for Cutie or Taking Back Sunday.
Favorite book? "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis.
Favorite pet? I have no pets.
Favorite vacation spot? Toronto, Ontario
Favorite activity in Craig? Going out to eat with good friends.
