East Elementary raising money with box tops

Judy Foster's fourth-grade class at East Elementary is collecting box tops for General Mills Foods Box Tops for Education. The goal for this year is $1,000, and proceeds will go toward purchasing more digital cameras for the school so that each grade level will have its own. Last year, the class raised more than $750 and purchased two digital cameras. The class does all of the collecting, trimming and counting of box tops as well as mailing in the coupons to receive funds. Foster has been involved in the yearly fund-raiser for three years, but the school started saving box tops seven years ago. Labels that qualify for the fund-raiser include the General Mills products such as cereals, dairy, baking and frozen food products, snacks, meals and side dishes. Box tops can be dropped off or mailed to the school at 600 Texas Ave. The fund-raiser typically runs until spring. For more information, call 824-6042.

ACE/Work classes begin fund-raising campaign

This week the Moffat County ACE group began its fund-raising campaign. The goal is to raise funds needed to support group programs and activities as well as to help with the Annual Employer Appreciation Dinner held at the end of the school year. Members of the ACE/Work classes are taking orders for a fine assortment of food and gift products from FASCO Inc. Every student is encouraged to become involved. For more information and catalogs, call Rose Siminoe, ACE coordinator, at 824-7036.
