Police cited one Craig restaurant for noncompliance on checking identification of a minor during a check on Oct. 22.
An employee from Casa Loya and one owner of the restaurant were issued a summons to court for the citation, said Capt. Jerry DeLong of the Craig Police Department.
The department worked with two agents from Colorado Division of Liquor/Tobacco Enforcement to check all of Craig's on-premises liquor licensees, which includes bars and restaurants.
Results of the check are better than last year, when six of Craig's off-premises liquor licensees were slapped with tickets in March for violations.
Grand Futures sends out a letter to liquor licensees warning of the checks, DeLong said.
Recent results of the compliance checks shows that bars and restaurants are carding people who look younger than 30, DeLong said.
"It shows that owners and employees are trying to check IDs," he said.
