Elaine Sullivan: Moffat County clerk
I would like to say a big thank you from the clerk's office to everyone involved in the 2004 general election! Which, by the way, was the biggest turnout of active voters. Congratulations, Moffat County. Thanks to all the eligible electors who voted, candidates, poll watchers, the police and sheriff's officers and election judges! Betsy Peck, Tom Morley, and Neil McCandless for dealing with all the address and name changes and provisional ballots. The clerk's office staff deserves a huge thank you for going above and beyond their typical workloads and working the extra hours during the election. Thank you Tammy, Debbie, DeAnn, Sally and Brenda.
And of course, Lila Herod, the election guru of Moffat County! From start to finish, everything is ordered and organized, and the judges trained by the big day. Sami Jo Mcintyre, special election judge, did a great job getting us through early voting. Thank you, Mason Siedschlaw, for your assistance downloading our voter database for use at the mall. And Kelvin Stehle and Linny Gillam for hauling our supplies. We appreciate everything this community has done to assist us in our very successful election.
The local news media, Chris Currie and Samantha Johnston from the Daily Press, Will Fletcher from the Morning News and Michael Phelps and Dan Olsen from K27News who provided this community with weekly articles about the election. We are very lucky to have a supportive media system. Thank you.
I also acknowledge Vicki Hall and her staff at the Centennial Mall. Wow! What a great community service this has provided to allow us to hold our elections there. The election judges enjoy it as well as the voters! Thank you.
Thanks to each and every one of you who worked and or participated in this election. As Americans, we celebrate our right and duty to vote. That we still are allowed a difference of opinions and have an election process fair to each eligible elector. Let us be grateful to our armed forces who continue to protect our rights and beliefs.
We value your interest and support Moffat County!
Sincerely,
