Shawn W. Taylor

Kennecott Energy Company is pleased to announce that Shawn W. Taylor has accepted the position of manager, government and external affairs officer, effective June 1, 2004. In this position, Taylor will be responsible for the governmental affairs, public affairs and communications for the company.
Taylor most recently served as the policy analyst for Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal. Before that he was the Energy Policy Development Program manager for the Wyoming Energy Commission. He worked for Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge as the associate director of the Pennsylvania state office in Washington, D.C., and served as a legislative aide on the U.S. Senate Committee for Energy and Natural Resources.
Taylor graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. He has taught in Wyoming and worked as a volunteer with at risk youth.
