Ruby Louise Cork
1932-2004
Ruby Louise Cork of Craig, died May 7, 2004, at her home. She was 71.
Cork was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Surrey, Mich., to Merlyn and Jannie B. (Freeman) Rogers.
Cork was raised in Michigan until moving with her family to Steamboat Springs when she was 14 years old. She married Kenneth R. Cork on May 2, 1950, in Meeker. They lived primarily in Oak Creek, but moved some because of her husband's employment. They moved to Craig from Oak Creek about 10 years ago. Cork enjoyed playing softball, fishing, hunting, knitting, making jelly, and cooking.
Cork is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Cork of Craig; sons Dean (Jody) Cork of Milner, and Loyd (Val) Cork of Gillette, Wyo.; grandchildren Katherine Cork and Kaitlyn Bloomquist; sisters Betty (Charles) Snap of Borger, Texas, and Ramona (William) Stone of Muskegon Heights, Mich.; and sister-in-law, Shirley Rogers of Craig.
Cork was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nita Cox, and brothers William Claude and Merlen Rogers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Colorado VNA and Hospice in care of Grant Mortuary.
