On May 9, 2004, 1998 Moffat County High School graduate, Jennifer L. Schneider, graduated from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks with a degree in elementary education. After completing a year-long student teaching assignment, including teaching in a remote Alaska bush community, Schneider will be moving to Anchorage to pursue a teaching career.
Opened in 1922, the University of Alaska at Fairbanks is the flagship campus of the University of Alaska system. The university is America's northernmost land, sea and space grant institution, offering 20 certificates and 160 degrees ranging from bachelor's degrees to doctorates. More than 10,000 students come from all 50 states and 39 foreign countries.
