9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. USDA commodities will be distributed by the Moffat County Department of Social Services at the Maybell Community Center. All households that receive commodities must be recertified each year. A picture ID, proof of address and income or current eligibility is required. For more information, call 824-8282.

7 p.m. There will be a Music Parents meeting for all middle school and high school choir and band students' parents. The meeting will be at the MCHS choir room.

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Parent's Toolbox -- How to Enjoy Being a Parent, a free education and support group for parents of toddlers to teens, meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the board room at the School Administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave. Free childcare and dinner will be provided. March's topic will be "What to do When Kids are Mean to Your Child." Discuss sibling rivalry and how to reduce it. Noon to 1 p.m. The Moffat County Healthy People 2010 initiative invites persons interested in eating healthily to participate in the Healthy Lunch program at the CSU Extension Office, 539 Barclay S. Participants will help prepare the lunch meal, receive a recipe booklet and learn more about healthful eating. Pre-register by calling 824-9180 by March 24. Cost is $2 per person.

Saturday, March 27

6 p.m. The Craig Women's Bowling Association is having its annual spring meeting at Craig Lanes. All association members are encouraged to attend.

Monday, March 29

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The 2004 Bulldog Volleyball Clinic will be offered to Craig Middle School students today and April 1 at the Moffat County High School gymnasium. The clinic is aimed at teaching basic fundamentals to the beginning volleyball player. MCHS volleyball players and coaches will teach passing, setting, serving, hitting, blocking and defensive skills. The cost is $30 and includes a T-shirt. Make checks payable to MCHS Volleyball. Participants need to bring gym shoes, knee pads and a water bottle and should wear comfortable active apparel.

6 p.m. The Yampa Ladies Golf Association will meet at the Yampa Valley Golf Club. Happy hour will be at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. There will be a cash bar. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Moffat County Partners is holding their annual "Silly Supper," a fun family event and fund-raiser at the Fairground Pavilion. Tickets are available for this hilarious and nutritious event at the Moffat County Partners office, 439 Breeze St., Suite 101, and through Moffat County Partners representatives. All funds raised are used to provide alternative recreational activities for Craig youth. For more information, please call Moffat County partners at 826-4261.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Yampa Valley Ladies Golf Association is sponsoring the 19th Annual "Lettuce Feed You" luncheon at the Elks Hall. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased from any association member or at American Northwest Realty. Also, new Ladies Golf Association cookbooks will be available at the door.
