Craig Daily Press subscribers will wake up Sunday to find something new in the driveway.
The Sunday Denver Post will now be home delivered to all Daily Press subscribers who currently get delivery at home and mailed to those subscribers who receive a subscription via U.S. mail.
Readers who currently subscribe only to the Sunday edition of the Post will receive a refund from the Denver Newspaper Agency for the entire unused portion of their Post subscription. Readers who currently receive the Sunday Post as part of a seven-day subscription, will receive an extension to their Post subscription to account for the unused Sunday delivery that will be now be a part of the Daily Press subscription.
"We will continue to produce a quality daily newspaper with the local news that readers have come to expect Monday through Saturday, but this is our opportunity to give our loyal readers the regional, national and global news that appeals to them on Sunday," publisher Samantha Johnston said.
Johnston said the promotional deal is offered to subscribers at no extra cost and Daily Press subscription rates will not increase.
By distributing a well-respected publication that is a leader in the industry, the Daily Press is committed to providing readers with continuous coverage seven days a week.
"Our whole basis for partnering with the Denver Newspaper Agency is to bring our readers another level of service and quality and to offer them the most for their dollar every week," Johnston said.
Donna Adrian, a resident at Sunset Meadows II, already subscribes to the Daily Press and the Denver Post. That means she'll get the Sunday Denver Post for free.
"That's good news," she said of the deal. "I already share the papers with people here."
Employees contracted out by the Denver Newspaper Agency, not Daily Press carriers, deliver the Sunday Denver Post. Sunday delivery will be guaranteed by 8 a.m. Missed newspapers may be reported by 11 a.m. for same-day redelivery.
