Entrega pipeline plans move forward

Entrega Gas Pipeline Inc. announced plans Tuesday to move forward with its proposed natural gas pipeline after the completion of a successful open season.
During open season, which closed June 25, energy companies expressed interest in transporting gas through the proposed pipeline, which will travel from Meeker, across Moffat County, and to Rockport, Wyo.
The results of the open season are confidential.
However, interest was sufficient for Entrega to move forward with the project, said Alan Boras, Entrega media relations specialist.
It is unclear whether gas wells in Moffat County would be able to tie into the pipeline, Boras said.
The project would be constructed under the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulation Commission in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management.
Entrega intends to file its certificate applications with the Federal Energy Regulation Commission for the pipeline in August 2004.
Construction is scheduled to begin June 2005 and Entrega plans to begin service by Dec. 31 of next year.
