LaVorda May Walters Lowe of Murray, Utah, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 23.
She was born in Fillmore, Utah on Nov. 15, 1910, to Bernard George and Lydia Ann Walters. She was the middle child with an older brother and sister and a younger brother and sister.
She married Ronald Lowe on March 17, 1931 and they were married 51 years to the day. Ronald preceded her in death on March 17, 1982.
She loved doing temple work, knitting and crocheting. She made booties for the new babies in the ward. She loved reading, enjoyed traveling and was a great cook.
She is survived by her sons Bernard (June), and Arven; daughter, Virginia Golding; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at 10th Ward, 5750 S. Nena Way in Murray, Utah. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Reading Cemetery in Wyoming.
