10 a.m. The fifth annual Whittle the Wood Rendezvous Woodcarving competition and Arts and Craft show takes place at Craig City Park, 601 Washington. There will be lots of food vendors and arts and crafts. People's choice voting will be held at the Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassador's Booth. 3 p.m. A free concert in conjunction with the Whittle the Wood Rendezvous will feature the Tropical Coyotes, a Denver-based band that plays reggae, calypso and other tropical music.

5 p.m. The announcement of Whittle the Wood Rendezvous woodcarving judging at Craig City Park, 601 Washington. Silent auction winners also will be announced at this time. For more information, call 825-2029.

6 p.m. A free concert featuring the Commander Cody Band will conclude Whittle the Wood festivities at Craig City Park, 601 Washington. The band plays a variety of country-western, rock and "honky-tonk" tunes.

Sunday

6:30 p.m. Child training and marriage classes will be at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave. The classes are free. The church is offering two other free classes: "Kingdom of the Cults" and "Daily Life Situations." Free child care will be provided. For more information, call 824-5222.

Tuesday

9 a.m. The Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge will be held at Woodbury Park for children ages 6 to 13. This event is free and people may sign up at the park with proof of age. Do not wear metal spikes. For more information, call Craig Parks and Recreation at 826-2029.

10:30 a.m. Craig Assembly of God Church, 1150 E. Ninth St., will hold a story-hour. There will be a fee of $1 to cover the cost of supplies each week. There will be story read and a craft or game. Bring a friend and come have a good time. Parents are welcome, too.
