Gov. Bill Owens will swing through Craig June 16 during a tour of the Western Slope.
The governor plans to arrive at the Boys and Girls Club, located in the Old Armory on U.S. Highway 40 east of Craig, at 10 a.m.
Owens likes to tour Colorado a few times every year to keep in touch with the state's residents, said Dan Hopkins, the governor's press secretary.
"He wants to hear what the concerns are here. He'll speak for 15 or 20 minutes on updates of TABOR and Amendment 23, but most of the time will be reserved for questions from the townsfolk," Hopkins said.
Owens will be accompanied by Russ George, state Department of Natural Resources director, Mike Beasley, state Department of Local Affairs director, and Bob Lee, his chief of staff.
