After someone we love dies, it seems that we, as people, go through a grief process. We experience this in so many different ways. Our thoughts may be very different than they were before and we may become very forgetful and even feel spacey. Our emotions may seem raw and on edge and many times we may even have physical problems.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve and there is no specific time frame to this process. Grief classes are designed to give information about this and offer ideas of ways to live through this time of grieving. It is a safe place to share as much or as little of what you would like to share about your loved one and what is going on for you now.
Instead of keeping ourselves closed off we are able to let in just a little bit of fresh air which can be very healing to the deep wound of loss. We are still alive and must continue on.
The grief class wants to offer hope, support, comfort and ideas about how to continue on. Please join us. Private consultations are also welcome. Please call Sandy, at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, 824-823, ext. 249 for more information or to schedule a visit.
