The Board of Trustees of the Memorial Hospital would like to share a summary of a unique opportunity to lease the MRI currently at Northwest Health Specialists. This endeavor has the potential to be a very positive and exciting development for our community. Hospital officials have carefully examined and are continuing to examine the projected financial performance for the MRI, other imaging equipment and clinic related operations. Based upon current information, we believe that an opportunity exists to substantially improve the hospital MRI service to the community and increase net revenue. This would help enable an investment in a critically needed new hospital for the community

The National Barrel Horse Association, NBHA, is holding a one-day event Saturday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig. Registration will open at 10 a.m. Exhibition will start at 11 a.m. and the races begin at noon. Races will include a senior division for participants 50 years and older and a youth division for participants 18 years and younger. If there are interested participants, races may also include a peewee division. You don’t have to be a member of the NBHA to register and run the race but, it is certainly not too late to join the district, said Kay Brooks, Director of District 10. Member participants will pay $30 registration fees. Non-member fees will be $35. Youth and Senior Division registration fees are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. No points will be awarded to non-members. Points are accrued throughout the season for prizes that are awarded at the finals to be held in October in Rifle. There are no spectator costs. There will be a jackpot poles race held after the NBHA race is over. Registration for the jackpot is $15.The jackpot awarded to the winners will be a 70 percent payback. This race is held in a three-divisional format with full second splits For more information call 276-2022.
