- Craig’s Downtown Business Association is organizing the fourth annual Golden Leaf Festival to celebrate the arrival of fall in the Yampa Valley. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 25. The goal is to have a block full of activity. The main emphasis is local vendors, community groups and family oriented activities. The festival is a great opportunity for nonprofit groups to recruit new members or raise funds for their organizations. Booth spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors are responsible for tables, chairs and weather protection. Fees are $35 per space for commercial and individual use and $25 per space for nonprofit groups. Applications are available at Neolithics and KS Kreations. Call Carol at 824-4580.

Peters is a 2001 graduate of Moffat County High School and will be attending Renton Technical College in Renton, Wash.
