A scholarship benefit yard sale will be held Saturday at the Moffat County Courthouse Annex, 200 W. Victory Way. All proceeds will go to the Jean Nadler Memorial Grant-in-Aid given by the Delta Kappa Gamma to a senior girl planning to become a teacher. Hours are from 9 am. to 1 p.m. Saturday only. Crews respond to fires in remote areas of Moffat County

Fire crews responded to about 16 fires across Moffat County Tuesday night that were caused by lightning strikes.
Hayden girl recovering from rollover

Stormie Beach, a 16-year-old Hayden girl who was seriously injured in a rollover accident June 19 has been upgraded to fair condition at The Children’s Hospital in Denver.
