Starting this month we'll be using a postcard to remind residents of important issues. For additional information on topics, call the Extension Office at 824-9180 or stop by.
The District Retreat will be March 5-7 at the Craig Holiday Inn and the cost is $70. Youth ages 10-18 are eligible.
There will be leader training on March 6 at the Colorado Northwestern Community College-Craig campus. It is recommended that all 4-H leaders attend. Registration cost will be paid for by the Extension Office.
Mid-Winter Calf Show
The Moffat County Mid-Winter Feeder Calf Show will be Feb. 8 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. Weigh-in starts at 8:30 a.m. with the show scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
Anyone interested in showing breeding beef at the Moffat County Fair needs to contact the Moffat County Extension Office to be briefed on new rules.
Pesticide applicators workshop
There will be training for those people interested in getting their pesticide applicators license on Feb. 25. For more information call 824-9180.
The Moffat County 4-H Foundation is currently looking for an additional member. Anyone interested should submit a letter of interest to the Extension Office.
There are currently three scholarships applications available: John Worthington Scholarship, Moffat County 4-H Foundation Scholarship and the Moffat County Cattlemans/Cowbelles Scholarship.
New fair rules
New swine weights for Moffat County Fair will be 225-275.
All grand champion & reserve champion market animals will be sold this year at the Moffat County Fair.
Moffat County 4-H sweatshirts will be on sale at the Extension Office for $20. Stop by and check them out and place your order.
