Craig resident Jonn Kirbin Bullock died Jan. 19, 2004, at his home. He was 40.

Bullock was born July 28, 1963, in Ogden, Utah.

Bullock was raised in Vernal, and graduated from Uintah High School in 1981. He married his high school sweetheart, JoDeena Gray, on Sept. 12, 1981. They had four children: John, Brandon, and twin girls, Tawni and Tasha. They moved to Craig where he began a career operating heavy equipment and welding. He loved his work. He was a very artistic person, good at tying flies, woodcarving, and he made beautiful pottery. His most cherished memories of his boyhood years were of spending time in the mountains of Dry Fork Canyon, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. After moving to Craig, his love of the outdoors continued, and he camped, hunted, and fished with his brothers-in-law Jerry and Jim Gray, and his children. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bullock was very passionate about animals and got great fulfillment from helping his brother-in-law Jim Showalter during calving season, and even gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a few calves. Bullock took pride in every aspect of his life, and gave 100 percent in all that he did. He leaves behind many who love him and lots of good memories.

Bullock is survived by his wife, JoDeena Bullock, of Craig; sons John Wayne Bullock, of Craig, and Brandon McKenzie Bullock, of Craig; daughters Tawni Michell and Tasha Chastaine Bullock, of Craig; parents Wayne and Shirley Bullock, of Vernal; sisters Vikki Garcia and Shannon Bullock, of Vernal; his brother, Shayn Bullock, of Vernal; and mother-in-law, Wilma Gray, of Vernal.
