Craig resident, Betty J. Losh, died Jan. 19, 2004, at her home. She was 73.
Losh was born March 14, 1930, in Crawford, Neb., to Arthur G. and Grace (Nichols) Oetken.
Losh was raised in the Crawford and Ft. Robinson areas of Nebraska as well as Cheyenne, Wyo., before moving with her family to Denver in 1943. Losh married Alva D. Losh on June 5, 1961, in Elko, Nev. They lived in the Englewood area for many years and then in Battlement Mesa for 16 years. She moved to Craig a year and a half ago. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and in recent years, painting.
Losh is survived by David (Jan) Losh, of Dillon; daughters Cheryl (Richard) Bush, of Craig, Wendy (Wayne) Moore, of Lyons, Beverly (Brent) Angelo, of Shrewsbury, Mass., Cathy Reynolds, of Lakewood, and Tracie (Joe) Cardin, of Englewood; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn Furman, of Helena, Mont., and Iva Sperl, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and brothers Dale Oetken, of Arvada, and Wayne Oetken, of Englewood.
Losh was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alva Losh, and son-in-law, James Reynolds.
Services were at Denver Seventh Day Baptist Church, Jan. 23, 2004.
