Animal ID project focus of town hall meetings
Colorado livestock producers will have an opportunity to learn first-hand from their peers about Colorado's Animal ID Pilot Project during a series of town hall meetings scheduled across Colorado throughout December 2004 and January 2005.
The Colorado Animal ID Pilot Project was implemented by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
It is an effort to improve livestock biosecurity and, in the event of an infectious animal disease discovery, trace livestock back to their origin within 48 hours.
Livestock producers are encouraged to attend the Craig meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at the CSU Moffat County Extension Office, 539 Barcla St.
