8 a.m. A garage sale will be sponsored by the PEO, a nonprofit women's organization, to help fund scholarships provided to area students at 590 Taylor until 2 p.m.

9 a.m. Friends of the Library will hold a children's and youths' used book sale at the Lutheran Church fellowship hall, next to the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries at Sixth and Green streets until noon. Sales will be by donation. Books on all subjects, fiction and nonfiction, will be available. Call 824-5116.

9:30 a.m. A Hawaiian Mini-Meet will be held at Gymstar Fun 'n Fit Gymnastics, 400 Mack Lane, for athletes 3 and older to demonstrate their skills. Call 824-2282.

8 p.m. Craig Elks present the first "Out of this World" dance for teens 14 to 18 at the Craig Elks Lodge upstairs, 43 W. Victory Way. Cost will be $3 for two people or $2 a person. Door prizes will be awarded. Call Robin at 824-0323.

8 a.m. Registration for the carriage driving show will be at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. The show begins at 9 a.m. and will be followed by classes. There will be chariot races held between carriage classes. Anyone with a horse or team is invited to come and enjoy a morning of fun. Classes cost $2. Call 824-8621.

1:30 p.m. Bingo will be at the VFW, 419 E. Victory Way. The progressive jackpot is worth more than $1,800 plus current day sales. Open to the public. Packets begin at $15. Call 824-7145.

6 p.m. Moffat County High School will sponsor a free fall football camp through Aug. 12 until 8 p.m. This camp is for high school students. If you are interested in playing football this year it is important to attend. Call Coach Hafey at 824-9586.

7:30 p.m. The Continentals will present their 2004 concert series "Airborne" at the Craig Middle School auditorium. After the concert, the group will be hold auditions for vocalists, instrumentalists and technicians. This event is sponsored by the Faith Lutheran Church in Craig. Call 846-4085.

5:30 p.m. Food drive bingo will be held at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig in the Picnic Shelter until 7 p.m. You can exchange two cans of food for a bingo card. Area businesses donated prizes. Moffat County Clerks Office will be giving free root beer floats. Children are welcome. Call 824-9180.

8 a.m. 10th annual Craig Kiwanis Doubles Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. Cost is $50 per two-person team. Best ball, scramble, Chapman format. Call 824-3673.
