3:30 p.m. Doak Walker Tackle Football League practice will be at Woodbury Field for third- and fourth-graders. Call 826-2004.

6:30 p.m. Craig Trap Club Youth Shoot, open to youths 8 through 18, is at the Gun Clubhouse on West U.S. Highway 40. Call Dick at 824-6544.

Thursday, Aug. 5

Story Hour at the Craig Branch of the Moffat County Libraries will not be held so activities can be prepared for the Children's Literacy Festival at 2 p.m. The library will close at noon for the festival.

8:30 a.m. A seniors trip to the Colorado Rockies game in Denver will leave the Parks and Recreation Department, 300 W. Fourth St. Call 826-2004.

10 a.m. A state wildlife commission workshop is set to meet at the Holiday Inn in Craig. The public is invited to observe. Call 878-6090.

2 p.m. Children's Literacy Festival will be held at the Craig Branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St., until 4 p.m. Call 824-5116.

2 p.m. The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held during the Children's Literacy Festival, Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lutheran Church fellowship hall, next to the public library, on the corner of Sixth and Green streets. Sales will be by donation Books on all subjects, fiction and nonfiction, will be available. The sale will be held again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Call 824-5116.

Friday, Aug. 6

The Moffat County CSU Extension Office will be closed and relocated to the fairgrounds during the Moffat County Fair on Friday to Aug. 14. During that time the County Extension Office can be reached at 629-5527. Call 824-9180.

8 a.m. A garage sale will be sponsored by the PEO Service Organization, a non-profit women's organization, to help fund scholarships provided to area students at 590 Taylor until 2 p.m. The sale will be held again Saturday.

9:30 a.m. Hawaiian Mini-Meet will be held at Gymstar Fun 'n Fit Gymnastics, 400 Mack Lane, for all athletes ages 3 and older to demonstrate their skills. Call 824-2282.

8 p.m. Craig Elks present the first "Out of this World" dance for teens 14 to 18 at the Craig Elks Lodge upstairs, 43 W. Victory Way. The cost will be $3 for two people or $2 a person. Door prizes will be awarded. Call Robin at 824-0323.

6 p.m. Moffat County High School will sponsor a free fall football camp through Aug. 12 until 8 p.m. This camp is for high school students. If you are interested in playing football this year it is important to attend. Call Coach Hafey at 824-9586.

8 a.m. 10th annual Craig Kiwanis Doubles Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. Cost is $50 for each two-person team. Best ball, scramble, chapman format Call 824-3673.
