To the Editor:

I'd like to thank the Road and Bridge Department for their speed and efficiency in solving a problem at our school. Since the paving of Country Club Drive in front of East Elementary this summer, we have had many near "misses" at the corner where it intersects with Prairie View.

Within hours of calling their department asking for advice, someone came and installed a stop sign. We anticipate that this will alleviate any further confusion as to which vehicle has the right of way. We will still be urging parents to use caution until everyone gets used to the new sign. Thank you again for your quick response.
