Joyce J. Jackson
Joyce J. Jackson, of Loveland, Colo., died Sept. 22, 2003, at Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
Jackson was born June 15, 1929, in Loveland, to Harvey and Frieda Mahr Stauffer.
Jackson attended Loveland schools. She married Doyle E. Jackson on Oct. 6, 1946, in Loveland. Her husband's occupation took them to several places including, Cheyenne, Loveland, and Rocky Ford. They lived in Craig for 24 years. They then moved back to Berthoud where he served as town administrator and retired in Loveland.
Jackson was a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family, pinochle card groups and marathons, bowling, camping, snowmobiling, and traveling.
Jackson is survived by her husband, Doyle E. Jackson, of Loveland; two sons, Larry D. (Ellen) Jackson, of Loveland, and David A. (Barbara) Jackson, of Eagle; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" McWhorter, of Loveland; a brother, Duane (Shirley) Stauffer, of Loveland; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The viewing was Sept. 24, 2003 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home and will also be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, prior to the services at the First Christian Church. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Tom Webster officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
