Moffat County residents can expect to wake up to a brand new edition of the newspaper Saturday -- Saturday Morning Press. Saturday Morning Press will bring the best of the Craig Daily Press to every doorstep packed full of all of the news, sports, features and entertainment that readers get Monday through Friday but with a weekend flare.

They will receive a brand new way to discover what is going on in the Moffat County community.

Saturday Morning Press, a true sixth edition of the Craig Daily Press, will feature breaking news, Friday night sports coverage,

human interest features, an education section and outdoors page, forum for local opinion, expanded comics and a peek at every day life through a weekly community photo essay.

"Bringing our loyal readers more of what they know and like is an important opportunity for the Craig Daily Press," Publisher Samantha Johnston said. "I look forward to providing a sixth day of news and advertising each week to bring to our readers the people, events and stories that shape the community we call home."

This Saturday, readers can expect to learn all about the newest Moffat County craze, Yu-Gi-Oh! The card game that hails from Japan uses popular characters and monsters to destroy opponents and has caught on like wildfire in Craig, drawing large crowds to the Centennial Mall each weekend.

In addition to fascinating lifestyle and trend pieces, readers will find easy-to-read government previews and recaps and a Mini-Page for children. Beginning Nov. 15, readers can also enjoy American Profile magazine, a celebration of the people and lifestyles that make up this unique region.

Regional news coverage can be found on the Northwest Neighbors page that will highlight stories of interest from Meeker, Hayden and surrounding communities.

The Saturday Morning Press will still feature popular columnist Baxter Black, Moffat County 4-H and CSU Cooperative Extension news, hometown recipes and current weather and television listings.
