Jeremiah James Garoutte died Nov. 8, 2003 in Denver, Colo. He was 24.
Garoutte was born Feb. 24, 1979 in Canon City, to James Garoutte and Christine Kissinger.
Garoutte attended school in Steamboat Springs, where he spent most of his life. He loved the great outdoors. He spent many days skiing, snowboarding, snow mobiling, camping, and fishing. He also loved to fly kites with his Aunt Jeri.
Garoutte is survived by his mother, Christine Adams; stepfather, JD Adams; brothers Cody and Kye Adams; his father, Jim Garoutte, and Seema Boling; stepmother Debi Garoutte; brothers Scott and Clancy Garoutte and Boe and Brice Boling; grandmother Eileen Garoutte; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Garoutte was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl J. Garoutte and Ellen L. and Charles H. Kissinger.
Services were Nov. 14, 2003, at First Christian Church with Beryl Wright officiating. The organist was Anne Carr and the soloist was Kathy Hildebrandt. Selections were "Amazing Grace" and "I Can Only Imagine". Special music was "Answer" by Vince Gill.
Honorary pallbearers were Cody Adams, Kye Adams, Scott Garoutte, Clancy Garoutte, Boe Boling, and Brice Boling.
Services were concluded at the church.
