Woman arrested on drug-related charges


Craig Police and GRAMNET arrested a Craig woman Thursday after they executed a search warrant and discovered drugs in her home, according to a report by the Craig Police Department.

Charlotte Diane Corral, 36, faces numerous charges, including three counts of possession of controlled substances, three counts of distribution of controlled substances and theft by receiving. According to the report, police and the Grand, Routt and Moffat Narcotics Enforcement Team discovered methamphetamine, more than 10 grams of cocaine and more than nine ounces of marijuana in Corral's home. In addition to the drugs, officers recovered a .9mm handgun and a laptop computer.

"Both of those items had been reported stolen from two different victims in Craig in June and July of 2003," the report states.

Corral also was booked on charges of being a "special offender," which relates to possessing a firearm while distributing drugs.

Corral was a resident at 354 Washington St. A 9-year-old child who lived in the home was taken into protective custody by the

Moffat County Department of

Social Services.

The case will be turned over to the District Attorney's office for filing of charges. According to the report, the investigation is still underway.
