With its 25-0 win over Berthoud, the Moffat County High School Bulldogs grabbed a little peice of history and could be setting themselves up to grab much more.
The win over Berthoud was the Bulldogs' first playoff win since 1995.
And while they may be going up against the defending state champions, Moffat County isn't without its own arsenal.
Keep in mind the Bulldog defense has had three shutouts this year and allowed the fewest points of any team in the Western Slope Conference.
They face off at home Saturday against Florence, which has an overall record of 8-3.
With hard work and dedication, the Bulldogs have done their part. Now its time for the hometown crowd to do its part.
It would be nice for the Bulldogs to play such a crucial game in front of stands full of fans showing their support.
If the Bulldogs win and Steamboat Springs wins against D'Evelyn, there will be a Steamboat Springs vs. Moffat County semifinal.
Now that would be huge for Northwest Colorado in the sports scene. The game begins at 1 p.m. and with tickets selling for only $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students, there's no excuse for the stands not to be full.
