County department heads shouldn't need permission for spending, the commissioners do

To the Editor:

I think our county is all mixed up. The commissioners are the ones who need to get permission before they spend! They should have had to get permission before they took all of their trips to Washington, D.C, Hawaii, Mexico, New Orleans and Denver, permission to hire a full-tim attorney, full-tim EMS director and full-time land use planner. They should have had permission when they blew all the money on the justice center.

Come on commissioners, get rid of the personnel you hired to do the jobs you were elected to do and get to work yourselves.

Nel McCandless,

Ex Moffat County commissioner
