Doctor says goodbye to her patients, friends

To the Editor:

It is with sadness and definitely fondness for each and every one of you that I bid you all farewell. I have lived and worked in Craig now for the past seven and a half years and a total of 10 years.

When we moved back to Craig, I really never thought that I would leave. But I have accepted a position with Boulder Community Hospital System as the director of the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. I will be working in the new Foothills Hospital that will be opening in September 2003. Please stop and visit if you ever get to Boulder.

Each and every one of you has impacted my life in a way that I could never put into words. I have learned so much from each of you and my experiences in Craig are what have prepared me for this career opportunity.

For those of you who may not know this, Boulder is "home" to my husband and me. We raised our family here and our children and grandchildren still live here. We left home and made a new home in Craig. I learned to love Craig and will think of you often. We are keeping our mountain property so, hopefully, I will see many of you when we come up to the cabin. I am quite serious about coming to visit. The Foothills Hospital is located at Arapahoe and Foothills Parkway in east Boulder.

Thank you for the wonderful years with you all!

Sincerely,

Cheryl Link
